Your brother has $2000 saved for a vacation. His

airplane ticket is $637. Write an inequality to show

how much money he can spend for everything else.

The math club is having a car wash. They are going

to charge $4.50 per car. Write and solve an inequlity

to find how many cars they have to wash to earn at

least $300.

The freshman class is planning field trip to the fair.

It cost $5 to enter and $1.25 per ride. If you bring

$15 to spend what is the greatest number of rides

you can go on?

Ashleigh sells Chia Pets.  It costs Ashleigh $7.50 to buy the materials

to make each Chia Pet.  Ashleigh also pays $110 a month for additional 

supplies to help her create each Chia Pet.  Ashleigh sells each Chia Pet 

for $25.

 

Write an inequality in standard form that can be used to determine 

the number of Chia Pets (c) Ashleigh must sell each month in order 

to make a profit for the month.
